Dream symbolic of re-structuring – Pluto Capricorn square Pluto Libra

I had the most symbolic dream last night. I’m going through some heavy transits at the moment, and my life is certainly reflecting this, so much going on in loads of areas, work, romance, relationships, philosophy, money and my actual body structure.

Transits I have now: Pluto square Pluto, transiting 10th house Saturn square 2nd house Capricorn Sun, tr Chiron conjunct Pisces Moon and inconjunct Pluto, progressed Moon in the 7th house conjunct natal Saturn, to name a few.

In my waking life, I met last year a man (he designs buildings) who is a soul mate of mine, he has been helping me immensly with my dreams, my career goals and my body structure. He has shown me and helped me to fix a deep rooted problem I had with my posture, which affected my bones, specifically hips and spine. The technique he showed to me (plus someone else who also showed me the same technique this year, a therapist) I am so sold on, I will take a teacher training course in it and add it to the teaching that I currently do. I have no doubt that this is tied into my heavy transits, of Pluto in Capricorn (deep re-structure) squaring my 9th/10th house (teaching yoga) Pluto in Libra (balance). Plus the 10th house transit of Saturn in square to my 2nd house (the body, values) Cap Sun. The deepest type of re-structuring I have ever been through. The transit Chiron conjunct to Moon plus quincunx Pluto also helps cleanse and recognise my deepest wounds that are linked with my structural imbalances.

The dream was so simple. I was shown, I think by my soul mate friend, a wonderful beautiful house. The brick work was perfect, everything to the roof was structurally sound. I don’t remember going in the house, I was just shown it by this man and I am sure it was my house in the future. It existed now and was mine now, but I wasn’t able to access it yet. Then, I was at my current house, I saw it and how run down it was. The roof was awful, I even got up to the roof and saw how much it needed improvement. I realised that I am stuck with this old house for now, but this changed house would be mine after a stage.

There are many things I’ve read about these transits, including ‘depression’. I can see how this energy manifests as I have been feeling very down. My usual creativity seems diminished. But instead of fighting this energy, and denying the fact that I am feeling more sober than usual, I am going with it, spending the time with myself, learning and observing what comes up with patience and compassion. Sobriety is just as much a part of life as is a party mood. Each has a valid purpose and something to teach us.

Full Moon in Aries ~ balancing impulse with structure (12th Oct 2011)

The new Moon a few weeks ago involved a lot of transformational energies inviting us to get to know ourselves on a deeper and truer level. It was combined with the potent planetary energies of Pluto and Uranus. Full Moons bring out into the open and into full awareness, the fruits from the seeds planted at the new Moon. If a plan was just starting to formulate at the new Moon, then by full Moon it becomes clearer how, and if, to proceed with the plan. At this time, the energy of Sun and Moon polarise, making us aware of what we may need to balance out in our lives, clarity comes after a period of searching.

This full Moon is full of vibrant energy that seems to tap into the creative fire of imagination and inspiration, challenging us to give form and structure to our creative expressions; to go beyond the bounds of our personal conventional norms; becoming fully aware of our impulses and blending these with responsibilities and structures in our lives – Moon in Aries is closely conjunct Lilith and Eris while opposed Saturn.

Stirring up and bringing life to stale ventures, thinking outside of the box, finding the courage to face things we would normally shy away from may be ‘in the air’ now with the powerful full Moon energy. If we were feeling stuck in a rut, now may be a good time to find a solution or a breakthrough. It may become clear what we instinctively need to express, while, we find a way to balance these needs with the structures we have in our lives, thoughts and habits. We may find the courage to face the inner demons that hold us back.

Eris is named after the goddess of discord and strife, Discordia, and is also the sister of Mars/Ares. In Aries, she is associated with discord and war, as well as competition and possibly testing our integrity and our egos. Eris in Aries, along with Lilith, both have rebellious energy and they both like to stir up the party and challenge situations, maybe encouraging us to grow and extend ourselves beyond our perceived limits, or, to release what was previously repressed or held back. We could find renewed bravery to tackle those things we may normally shy away from. There are always positive and negative sides, which depend very much on how we are able to express them at the time.

The Sabian symbol of ‘The Magic Carpet of Oriental Imagery’ hints at a world of possibilities which could now be harnessed. The fire of Aries with the instinctual warrior goddess energies can be tapped into and used to help move us forward in our heart felt goals. An opposition with Saturn may suggest a need to confront the voice of authority, internal or projected outwards, seeing if this voice is ultimately helpful or harmful to us. Do we hold ourselves back unnecessarily, or does some hesitation actually benefit us.. Do we hold enough authority in our lives or constantly project it outwards.

This full Moon may even be a test for our egos. Eris and Lilith have been repressed and rejected in some way in the past. Eris, not invited to a wedding party, threw a apple over the fence of the party for “the fairest of them all”, sparking a beauty competition of the goddesses which ultimately set off the Trojan War. Egos involved all round! Lilith, on the other hand, would not conform to what was expected of her and in choosing to go her own way, she was rejected. Symbolically, much instinctual and sexual energy has been repressed over the centuries but now this is changing with the evolution of the current times.

Eris and Lilith could be helping to liberate repressed energies, unblocking a great deal of creativity and energy. These two combined are a pretty potent force, the kind of feeling where one has a wild idea and without a second thought one goes ahead and follows through, however, a certain inner, or outer, voice comes through here reminding us that we do have responsibilities for others as well as ourselves and our actions. Finding a balance between structure and the creative impulse, releasing the need to rush ahead as we balance impulse with responsibility with this lovely Aries Moon.

Moon square Mercury/Sun/Saturn – making ideas manifest (4th Oct 2011)

Serious communications and thoughts take precedence today as Mercury sits in-between Sun and Saturn in Libra. Balance, harmony, love, beauty and fair relations with each other could be the subject of thoughts and communications. There could be a challenge to find this harmony within ourselves primarily as Moon squares Mercury/Saturn, to touch upon our innermost needs and see how to bring ourselves inner happiness and security. We are challenged to work towards inner health and happiness in these times, its no lying down task, it requires our complete and loving attention and belief in our evolution.

Cool, objective, inspired and instinctive logic combined with fairness can help us tackle the challenges that come up at this time, seeing and acknowledging all views as Moon conjuncts Pallas Athene, the Goddess asteroid. These could be outer views, or the inner voices that sometimes challenge each other in our minds and hearts. Viewing objectively helps us gain clarity and understanding. A need to creatively collaborate with others, working together actively, exchanging ideas and bringing ideas into manifest form can then naturally start to happen as each contributes their own unique ideas.

The 5 of wands came out of my tarot deck again as I focus on this astro aspect, bringing to mind that we each have a special gift to give to the world, we all work together in this society and each society. We may appear as solitary individuals, which we are, but we are also all connected with each other in so many different ways. This is a wonderful connection, a life force, that keeps us vibrant and keeps us as a whole, going, growing and evolving.

Creative expression and form – Venus, Juno, Saturn opposite Lilith (30th Sept 2011)

Building now, there is a focus on bringing form, balance and structure to the things we love in life, the things that bring us joy, the things that bring delight to our hearts, our relationships with ourselves and with others. How committed are we to our hearts, to bringing joy into our lives, to the healing energy of love and life, to living more with an open heart. Juno, Venus and Saturn in Libra are combining opposite a firey and assertive Lilith in Aries. There could be a need to acknowledge the part of our instinctual natures that are sometimes pushed aside, denied or repressed. This could be part of our sexual natures and sexual energy that asks for recognition and/or expression through personal relationship, art, writing, dance but may be denied for varying reasons. We may be challenged to go beyond the blocks and fears that inhibit a full expression of our innermost desires, or, a challenge to understand and befriend our more hidden, unconscious sides, giving creative expression and form to our inner natures.

For centuries, in Western society, the energy of Lilith, the feminine, instinctual and sexual energy has been repressed by a dominant patriarchy, but now in these times it is re-emerging as we become more whole as individuals. We are more and more celebrating our feminine instinctual side equally with our assertive masculine sides. Integrating, acknowledging and accepting all sides of our nature helps us grow and evolve, becoming whole and strong in ourselves while being able to open our hearts to the pure vibrations of universal love and light. There may be a temptation to swing too much one way or the other, between structure and liberating our instinctual natures, but ultimately, I feel, energies balance themselves out as we learn and discover about ourselves. With Saturn involved, there are lessons to learn through the Goddesses Venus, Juno and Lilith, which ultimately help us find balance within ourselves.

Full Moon in Pisces at 19, 17 degrees Pisces (12th Sept 2011) – Harvest Moon

With full Moons, realisations are often made and with a Piscean full Moon the realisations may just start to flood into consciousness in a very Neptunian way – intuitive and ethereal, maybe sublime, very real nonetheless. The areas of life and area of the chart that was touched two weeks ago at the new Moon, the very early seeds that were planted then, will now start to come into full awareness. What was unconscious (Moon) now becomes conscious (Sun) and we need to find a way to integrate the two.

In some parts of Polynesia, the thirteenth day Moon, just before full, is known as ‘the egg’ – the Moon is almost at full bloom, ready to release all the creative potential that is carried up to this point in the lunar cycle, it is a very fertile time, full of ideas, notions, movements and actions. Messages may themselves known, we may see signs coming into our sights that confirm what we’ve been pondering on, people may say things that correlate with what we are feeling inside but needed confirmation of. If we had a plan formulating a few weeks ago, now is the time we start to see where and if it’s going.

This full Moon is known as a Harvest Moon, which is the first full Moon to occur before the Autumnal Equinox (this year falling on 23rd September 2011). Day and night become more or less equal at the time of equinox. The Harvest Moon greatly aids the harvesters, giving them more time to gather their harvest. This is due to the difference between sunset and moonrise at this time of year being much shorter, in a way, prolonging the light of day somewhat.

As the seasons start to change from summer to autumn at the equinoxs, I sense the perfect balance as day and night become equal, very tranquil for meditation or any spiritual pursiut. There is a ripeness in the air, the trees start to change colour as they reach full maturity, the mornings contain a fresh dew and a misty sun, shadows start to draw longer in the late afternoons. This lunation contains a Venus Mars sextile in each other’s terms, brings the masculine and feminine side of ourselves into harmony as we balance out the unconscious and conscious of the Moon/Sun. The Moon in Pisces is conjunct asteroid Ceres which is also opposing Venus, another balancing energy but this time balancing our needs to nurture ourselves, feeling what we instinctively need as opposed to our duties in relationships with others. We may be completely aware of other’s needs but do we pay attention to what is inside us also? An empty cup cannot quench another’s thirst – we have to replenish our own inner needs, nurture and care for ourselves before we can truly do this with another. With the quincunx to Saturn and Juno, we may need to make some adjustments to our duties and commitments with others. Pisces vs Virgo show us to balance out our intuition, inspiration with logic and facts. The two can combine beautifully and bring visions into reality, with the right balance.

The Moon also falls 3 degrees short of the midpoint of Uranus and Neptune. This concerns the archetypal, unconscious energy of the collective. Uranus and Neptune together, according to Liz Greene in The Outer Planets and Their Cycles’ says that these two planets in conjunction can bring “mystical or religious vision, coupled with a political ideology”. Karl Marx had Uranus and Neptune conjunct in his 10th house. This full Moon, also square the nodes, could bring into awareness a political vision, rooted in an unconscious spiritual ideal that is felt within society on a rather unconscious level, that will have an effect on society in some way.

The lunation, on a more individual level, the Uranus/Neptune midpoint may help shift old realisations into new ones. We are constantly evolving, changing, as do the seasons, this could be a time of spiritual shift highlighted by the light of unconscious (dark Moon) becoming conscious (full Moon). The Moon quincunx Saturn and the Pisces/Virgo energy of the Sun and Moon, there may need to be adjustments as we sort out fact from fanatasy, or, find the reality inside the visions and goals that come to mind as we bring these visions down to earth. What can realistically be achieved and what needs to remain as an idea/fantasty… The trine from Moon to Mars will spur us on to get real and get moving on our realisations at this time, helping to cut through to the structure and logical reality of what can actually be achieved. The trine from Ceres to Mars, all the while we intuitively focus on what is the best for our highest good, how our soul can be nurtured in the actions that we take, while releasing, mourning and letting go, with the waning of the Moon, of what is no good for us. Chiron is also involved, Moon being midpoint of Chiron and Uranus. This could bring sudden insight into the nature of our wounds, give us a creative reason to express our individuality, trust our insights through and beyond the safe ‘box’ that convention uses to quell intuitions, senses and feelings. It is ok to explore and trust the intuition, its the most natural thing in the world and helps to keep us safe. Trusting our intuition, what we have inside, our senses, is one of the best ways we can nurture ourselves. It is not to ignore the logical, rather, to balance the two aspects in our lives, creating inner and outer balance in ourselves and in the world.

Mars square Saturn, mutual reception (24/8/2011)

Mars reaches exact square to Saturn later today, mutual reception into each other’s detriment. This may play out as a feeling of frustration, not feeling plans are progressing, work not getting done, things apparently not going as fast as we may prefer. Mars is already in fall and Saturn is in it’s sign of exhaltation, so the energy of Saturn is the stronger, this time may be beneficial to concentrate on doing what can be done in a steady pace, clearing up the loose ends from this Mercury retrograde period, outstanding work that has been put aside. Try not to work to hard during this time, remembering to nurture yourself with the energy of Mars in Cancer.

Saturn direct (10 Libra) June 2011

Saturn is now direct after being retrograde since 26th Jan this year. It turned retrograde at 17 degrees Libra. Now, at 10 degrees Libra Saturn has turned round and started again on his forward motion through the sign of Lib

ra. Saturn rules work, discipline, duty, obligations, responsibility, restrictions, reality, boundaries and structure, karma and results from past actions. While retrograde, we have the opportunity to assess our direction in relation to where Saturn is currently transiting in our charts, the natal house he resides in and the house he rules with Capricorn and Aquarius on the cusp.

During the retrograde time, plans and projects may have been delayed for various reasons, which can bring a lot of frustration. The road is not always smooth sailing ahead during this time as we learn from the events that are occurring around and with us, taking responsibility for our own actions and their results – through this, we develop a good basis from which to move forwards and this can take some time. Good though, Saturn is not given to rushing. Patience and persistence in pursuing our goals goes a long way, and this is precisely part of Saturn’s test for us. Saturn rewards smart work, not necessarily hard work. Saturn transits are great times to see if we are directing our energy in the right place. If we are not, we will certainly me made aware and can adjust our path accordingly. With Saturn now direct, obstacles may start to dissolve and doors open in accordance with our life plan.

Saturn square Saturn transit – heartbreak and integration

Saturn in the natal chart can show us an area where we have fears, insecurities, walled off feelings and walls that we build to shield ourselves from others seeing through to our vulnerable inner core, especially with Saturn in the water signs such as Cancer. Saturn rules structure and karmic lessons, sometimes very hard and painful lessons. The sign that Saturn is in and the aspects it makes to the other natal planets show where and how our inner fears can manifest.

When Saturn transits square to its natal position, we have a chance explore the natal lessons of our Saturn placement – the Saturn square Saturn transit in the opening square. If we are not on the right track, the lessons that manifest at this transit can be difficult because we are being asked to break down the barriers and walls that we previously built up. If we have already had our first Saturn return, then this transit will bring our focus back onto what was begun back at the conjunction, looking back at what occurred at that time can help us understand better the lessons that reappear now. Events can manifest through people and situations appearing in our lives at the start of the transit. These events are actually an inner reflection of what we have inside ourselves. They come along now to help us understand ourselves better.

Saturn is the ruler of karma and karmic patterns that go all the way back to childhood and beyond even to previous lives. So the lessons of Saturn in our natal chart may well have childhood relevance. Perhaps we have build up a strong defence as a result and protector of an inner fear that resulted from childhood experiences. Maybe there is a way that we behave, or a way that we relate to others that reflects a childhood experience as if we are continually living out this experience and belief, but actually stops our evolutionary progress towards maturity. Saturn above all wants us to be mature beings able to look after ourselves and face responsibility for our actions and reactions.

The transit can be heartbreaking, take us to tears and anguish, really put us to the test. This is tough love from the Lord of Karma, breaking our heart so that we can actually open it. Once open, we can see inside to the pain, recognise it past the wall of insecurity and start to heal it by giving ourselves self love, allowing ourselves to forgive – forgive ourselves and others, and to release the fear that we have been holding onto. Saturn in effect is breaking down our self-made barrier in order to construct something much stronger and more durable, bringing us closer to maturity and closer to self realisation. The natal placement of Saturn, depositors and aspects will show the areas of our life that the Saturn lessons will manifest.

Saturn/Mars opposite Uranus/Jupiter/Moon square Pluto!

There is t-square now forming in the skies, which consists of Saturn in Libra opposing Uranus in Aries, both forming a square to Pluto in Capricorn.   These planets are slow moving, generational in effect and long lasting.  Their combined energy is ‘waiting in the wings’, so to speak, just waiting to be triggered by an inner planet which is associated with action, or the Moon which also acts as a trigger.

Today, 30th July, we have two such planets willing to do the deed – Mars has joined Saturn at 0 degrees Libra, with the Moon joining Uranus at 0 degrees Aries.  Jupiter is close by at 3 degrees Aries.  These two planets, Mars and Moon are acting as triggers which can result in events associated with the energies of Uranus/Saturn/Jupiter/Pluto – this can be anything from expansive enlightnement to sudden break-ups and violence.  Moon opposing Mars is a volatile energy in itself – and with Moon in Aries, the emotional air will be assertive, and/or aggressive.  Mars in Libra can represent an assertive urge to create balance.  But at what cost?   There is definately the urge to get things done.  We may have a feeling of emotionally being opposed to someone else’s dominating attitude.  There could be alot of change happening around us these few days, could be quite fast moving, sudden and unexpected.  With Uranus involved, whatever you think will occur, something completely different usually arrives.

Mars joining the opposition adds to the mix the will to get things going, with Mars being the ruler of action, will, aggression, war.  Saturn in Libra is adding structure, and lessons in life, to the sign of balance, relationships and harmony.  It’s a real interesting energy in the air, feels like something new is in the process of happening. Maybe the feeling of breaking out of the old mold and heading towards the new. Mars maybe giving the drive to put all that latent energy into action at this point in time, along with Moon driving the emotions. Uranus in Aries wants to shake things up, change and get things moving, quite suddenly, in a new and different direction which generally enlightens us out of our usual expectations. A strong Libran Saturn standing there amongst all those rebels, but Saturn is happy in Libra, so maybe he adds form and structure to those guys, stabilising an otherwise very erratic energy.
